Taylor Swift donates USD 100,000 to Nashville Symphony

Country star Taylor Swift marked her 24th birthday by offering up a USD 100,000 donation to officials at the Nashville Symphony in Tennessee.

Bosses in charge of the city orchestra have struggled with financial issues all year, so the generous 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hitmaker decided to hand over an early Christmas gift, reported Us magazine.

 A representative for the Nashville Symphony confirmed the news on the group's Twitter page writing, "We are profoundly grateful for Taylor Swift's donation. Thank you, Taylor, for supporting musicians & music in Music City! Happy Birthday!"

The charitable gesture is not the first for the singer.

In 2012, she pledged USD 4 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame, and in October, the Taylor Swift Education Center in Nashville opened as a result of the donation.

The Golden Globes announced that Taylor received a nomination for Best Original Song - Motion Picture for the song "Sweeter Than Fiction" which she wrote with Jack Antonoff! 

The song is featured in the movie "One Chance," the true story of Paul Potts and his journey to winning "Britain's Got Talent."

On a glitter-strewn runway with faux snow drifting down from the heavens, Swifty serenaded the seksi Angels and VS models as they flaunted their incredible bods for an enthusiastic audience that included Behati Prinsloo's biggest cheerleader Adam Levine!

It was fun and HAWT and you need to watch it for yourself to truly appreciate it!

  Friday night at the Grammy Nominations Concert, Taylor was nominated for FOUR GRAMMY: Album of the Year ("RED"), Best Country Album ("RED"), Best Country Song ("Begin Again"), and Best Country Duo/Group Performance ("Highway Don't Care" with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban). She also performed her his song "I Knew You Were Trouble" live from her sold-out show at Allianz Stadium in Sydney, Australia. Taylor is the first female in history to sell out Allianz Stadium.
